VSI is a car worth-it index that scores whether a car is worth buying, with an optional AI mechanic. This policy explains, in plain language, how the app treats your data: your content stays on your device, except that the AI mechanic sends the details you enter to an AI service (described below), and the app reports anonymous usage statistics.
VSI keeps all of your content on your device and never uploads it anywhere. To understand which features are used and to improve the app, VSI collects anonymous usage statistics (for example, which screens are opened and whether a purchase completes) using Amplitude. These events contain a random identifier that is not linked to your name, email, or any account — the app has no accounts. No advertising identifiers, no tracking across other companies' apps or websites, and no sale or sharing of data for advertising. See Amplitude's Privacy Policy.
All your content stays on your device. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.
When you use the AI mechanic, the car you selected, the region or city you enter, and the optional mileage are sent to OpenRouter (which routes the request to an AI model provider) to generate the maintenance estimate and where-to-look suggestions. These requests carry no account, name, or email — VSI has no accounts. If you allow location access, it is used only to prefill your city; it is never stored or shared for any other purpose. Purchases and subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. For receipt validation the app uses RevenueCat, which receives only an anonymous receipt token — no name, email, or any other personal information. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
VSI collects no personal data from anyone, including children; anonymous usage statistics cannot identify any user.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new effective date.
